We tutor students “one on one” at either Anita or Karens’ home-based workplaces in Annandale, or on-line using zoom. Both methods are great.

In person face-to-face tutoring offers increased student/tutor interaction and engagement. Physical interaction via mathematical learning, builds interpersonal confidence and skills. Students are provided with physical notes and online resources. 

Online tutoring provides learning in an environment that is familiar to the student. Online interactions via mathematical learning, builds technical confidence and skills.  Students are also provided with online resources. Online tutoring reduces the need for parents to travel, therefore saving them time and money.

What we do

Each tutorial session lasts for 60 minutes. In the sessions, Anita and Karen work with individual student’s needs, with scope for extension or remedial work as required. To help in identifying areas of strength and difficulty, students are encouraged to bring along class work, home work or practice tests and exams. Throughout each student’s session, Anita and Karen assist with homework, assignments and preparation for tests and exams.

We expect our students to put in the hours and work hard. We don’t do their homework or assignments for them, but we will give them hints and guidance and assist them along the way.

Our prices

Home based tutoring allows us to keep our prices affordable. 2024 prices are $70 per session (60 minutes) at Anita or Karens’ home based work places.   Students attending regular weekly sessions can receive some weekly online communication time free outside of the students normal session.

Missed sessions

We understand that students get sick and other priorities sometimes pop up. Please let us know as soon as possible if your child cannot attend their session so we don’t need to charge you for the missed session.  Please note, students who consistently miss sessions without providing notice run the risk of losing their allotted regular session time.
